To increase awareness for the importance of the international legal order, international law and the international organisations working on peace and justice issues in the Netherlands and The Hague – their mandates, activities and achievements – the Hague project Peace and Justice organises visits to The Hague and sends experts abroad to engage in dialogues.
Our focus is on young professionals and students, being the future influentials and decision-makers. Because we want to set peace and justice in motion, current influentials and decision-makers in government, international organisations, civil society groups, media and judiciary are our sparring partners as well. To listen, exchange knowledge and ideas, and engage in critical discussions on pertinent issues that affect our world today and in the future.
This programme is informed by a deep appreciation for the lessons of the international justice architecture many countries in the world have to offer and the multitude and diversity of institutions in The Hague working on issues of peace and justice. On behalf of the institutions in The Hague, the Hague project Peace and Justice is organising grass root dialogues with academia, civil society, government, media and the judiciary.
